Opulence Festival presents a full scale house music showcase set within one of the North East’s most iconic historic venues.
Groove Armada headline the Lawn Stage with a DJ set packed with era defining records including At The River, I See You Baby and Superstylin. With decades at the forefront of British electronic music, they remain one of the most respected and recognisable names in global house.
Joining them are Sam Divine, one of the leading figures in modern house and a dominant force on the international circuit, alongside Eats Everything and Danny Howard, both known for commanding major club and festival stages worldwide. The Monument Stage is headlined by house pioneer Todd Terry, with a line up that includes Danny Rampling and Alison Limerick performing live.
Set against the historic backdrop of Lumley Castle, Saturday delivers two stages of quintessential house music from afternoon into night.

Live at Lumley Castle brings two of the most iconic voices of British music to one of the North East’s most spectacular settings.
Marti Pellow rose to global fame as the frontman of Wet Wet Wet, delivering era defining hits including Love Is All Around, Sweet Surrender and Wishing I Was Lucky. With multi million record sales and a successful career spanning the West End and Broadway, he remains one of the UK’s most accomplished live performers.
Joining him is multi award winning singer songwriter Gabrielle, whose unmistakable voice has produced timeless classics such as Dreams, Rise and Out of Reach. With two BRIT Awards, an Ivor Novello and multiple platinum albums, every one of her releases has reached the UK Top 10.
Set against the historic backdrop of Lumley Castle, this is a night built on legendary music, powerful live performance and pure nostalgia.

The Tease
Opulence comes to Lumley Castle, County Durham DH3 4NX on Friday 4 September and Saturday 5 September 2026, transforming one of the UK’s most iconic historic venues into a premium live music experience.
For one weekend only, the castle and its grounds will host two distinct nights. Friday brings 80s and 90s chart icons Marti Pellow and Gabrielle to the Lawn Stage, while Saturday transforms the estate into a full scale house music showcase headlined by Groove Armada, supported by Sam Divine, Eats Everything, Danny Howard and house pioneer Todd Terry, with Monument Stage icons including Danny Rampling and Alison Limerick, all set within the parkland of Lumley Castle overlooking the River Wear.
Guests can attend either night or make a full weekend of it, with VIP & VVIP options and a limited number of overnight stays available within the castle itself.
Capacity is strictly limited due to the venue, with priority booking offered first to those registered for early access.
